Telling It Like It Is: How To Build A Multi-Million Dollar Network Marketing Organization

 There’s definitely more than one way to build a multi-million dollar Network Marketing organization. Everyone has his or her own version. One thing that I’m sure everybody would agree on wholeheartedly, though, is: qualified, laser-targeted leads is the lifeblood of all businesses. Without a steady, consistent and unlimited flow of pre-qualified, laser-targeted leads, all businesses will die. 

It doesn’t matter what business it is. It can be a lemonade stand on the corner, Google, GE or Apple Computer. Without leads, there are no customers. Without customers, there is no business. That’s just the way it is. We can agree or disagree, but it won’t change the fact that what I had just said is as true as it can be.

With this fact considered, it’s safe to say that creating a system that will provide us with an unlimited flow of pre-qualified, laser-targeted leads would be the very first step in building a multi-million dollar Network Marketing organization…long-term. It’s like pre-heating the oven before baking anything. It has to be done. A lot of people are so excited to get to the process, they put the raw cake in a cold oven, all excited and pumped up. Then after an hour, they scratch their heads when the cake doesn’t get baked. Worse yet, they blame the oven for the unsuccessful project. 

It’s the oven’s fault, so they go find another oven only to repeat the same exact process. When this gets repeated over several tries, they conclude that baking doesn’t work and all ovens are bad. Well, a good question to ask is: Have you ever tried turning it on first? A lot of times, we get the answer: “Huh?” 

Yup. It’s true. This scenario happens in Network Marketing all…day…long. It’s best to figure out how the money flows before anything else. The same thing applies to using the dictionary compared to using dictionary.com or the old encyclopedia sets compared to Google, Yahoo or Bing. That’s just the way it is. It’s the 21st century. We have to flow with the times or we will get left behind.

The internet definitely changed the Network Marketing profession. What used to work back in the 70′s, 80′s or even the 90′s don’t necessarily work as well in 2011. It can still work, but not as well as it used to. It’s like comparing a 1984 Toyota Corolla with 120 miles to the 2011 version with the same 120 miles. They’re both good cars, but the 2011 version, in my opinion, is definitely better and more efficient than the 1984 version.

What am I getting at here?

(1) The internet is not going anywhere. 
(2) It will continue to grow by leaps and bounds as we move forward in time. 
(3) It allows us to access people we only dreamed of accessing back in the old days.  
(4) It allows us to efficiently automate our lead generation.
(5) It can create multiple streams of long-term income for anyone who decides to dare.

Are these good or bad for our business? That depends on how we look at and see things. For me, it’s absolutely great! The internet allows us to create the unlimited flow of laser-targeted leads that we all desire. The key here is having the right infrastructure in place. We can build our own, or we can plug into a system that’s already been built, tested, and proven to be effective. That allows us to focus on what counts most: growing our list. By the way, back in the 80′s, this was called database marketing.

When we ran into Mike Dillard’s Magnetic Sponsoring concept, we totally got and embraced the philosophies behind it. His ideas and concepts encourage promoting the right things and leaving behind the stings in Network Marketing that induce our circle of contacts to dodge and avoid us at all costs. Now again, there are several ways to build an organization. We just chose to go with the “2011 Toyota Corolla”, so to speak. 

Some people think we’re right, others may think we’re wrong. It really doesn’t matter. What matters most is what we personally think. After all is said and done, we need to implement the business model, so it has to be in harmony with our philosophies for it to be effective and long-term. We always look at the viability of any idea that comes across our paths. We do the best we can to maintain an open mind and objectively evaluate the circumstances and processes that go with any particular system. 

To date, we have yet to see or learn about an alternative approach that makes more sense than the Magnetic Sponsoring model. It is so true that we want to buy. We don’t want to be sold. The key here is, just like any other system, the Magnetic Sponsoring concept works best when it is applied long-term. It’s not a quick fix.

Let’s play with the math behind it a little bit. Let’s say we did all the right things and we were able to get our lead flow to 20 a day…every single day. That’s 600 leads a month, 720 leads a year, 10,800 in 18 months, and finally 14,400 in 2 years. Let’s stop there for now. In my opinion, even if we were cave men (or women), I sincerely believe we can create a solid and productive Network Marketing organization if 14,400 pre-qualified, laser-targeted leads got exposed to our primary Network Marketing company’s information. This is most especially true if we can show these same prospects that we have an established system in place which they can duplicate themselves to help them build their own organizations. 

The only way that this model will not produce the results we so desire is if we quit. No matter how bad we are at the beginning, we can’t help but get better just because of the sheer volume of leads that will flow our way. Now what if we sustained the model for the next 10 years? What would the numbers be? What kind of Network marketing organization can we build?

Ten years from now, we’ll surely arrive. The question is: where? If we started to plant the seeds today, we’ll definitely have our own forest in about 10 years. Whatever’s worth doing is worth doing long-term. That’s one stigma in Network Marketing that we must, once and for all, change. Network marketing is not a quick fix. Don’t get me wrong. It could happen fairly quickly for some people who already have the infrastructure in place because of their prior experiences. It’s like the bus driver who wants to become a taxi driver. The success would definitely happen fast in this scenario. But for someone who’s just learning how to drive, it will take time for that person to be efficient in driving a taxi, more so a bus.

What we’re looking for is a plug-and-play system so we can focus on the activities that create the most productivity: building our list and building a long-term relationship with the people on our list. A plug-and-play system will definitely shorten the learning curve for those of us who are really not techno-savvy. After all, we’re in the business of marketing, not computer programming.

a Original content is good. Don’t copy and paste too much from other people’s sites. Google recognises when there is repeat content and will not give your site any value if it looks like it’s simply a replica of someone else’s site or a duplicate of one of your own. Be original. Even if you use other people’s material, re-write it to read differently so that Google can’t identify it as duplicate content. Of course, plagiarism is out of the question so be sure that you are not ‘stealing’ someone else’s work and that anything you use has copyright permission attached.

b Use long-tail keywords in the tags of your website and in the content. Long tail keywords are more like phrases or sentences. So, for instance, one could search for ‘dogs’ on Google and that would result in millions of sites coming up in the search. However, if someone were to search for ‘how to train a German Shepherd’ that’s going to yield much fewer sites in the search which will increase the chances of your site getting further to the top. The trick is to find the right balance between specific keywords and quantity of users searching for that particular keyword. c YouTube videos. YouTube is great at generating traffic. If you can upload videos to YouTube to promote your product it should help greatly in increasing your search engine optimisation (SEO).

Google ads use keywords used in the search engine to drive traffic to your site. Facebook uses its users profiles to target your ads. You can choose people’s interests, marital status, age, country etc to decide where you want your ads to appear. You can choose pay per click or pay per view for both of these methods.

The content ads are usually a deal struck between the advertiser and the owner of the website. This can be a percentage of sales or a flat-rate fee. The advantage is that you are advertising on a site where you know people already have a specific interest in the kind of product you are selling.

4. Create a great sales page
Your sales page is the all-important part of your online selling strategy. If this doesn’t work, visitors will simply leave and never come back. This is your moment on someone’s doorstep, or standing at the market stall. Everything you say here should be concise and to the point. Three key points to a successful sales page are:

a. Identify a need. Be sure that you know what need your product meets and make it clear to the visitor that their need is your concern. Identify that need. Highlight the need. Emphasise the need. Sometimes, people don’t even know they have a need for your product until you show them. Creating the awareness for need of your product is the first step in selling it.

b. Explain the benefits of your product. How it can make a difference to someone. How rapid and how massive the results can be. The key here is to get across the message that the visitor couldn’t possibly do without your product and that their life will be changed for the better if they buy it. Your product should be presented as being essential to meeting the need you have already identified.

c. Clearly state what your product is, how much it costs, where to download it or when it will be sent and always give a money-back guarantee. Nothing puts someone off buying more than lack of clarity or information. You need to keep them confident in your service as well as your product. The money back guarantee is another way of instilling confidence and hardly anyone will take you up on it – especially if your product is good.

d. Give away a free bonus. This will give the visitor a reason to proceed further and investigate. It’s a sprat to catch a mackerel. You sacrifice your free product with the intention that once you have them hooked you’ll be able to reel them in. Make sure your freebie is of good quality and is relevant to the product you are selling. If they find that your free bonus is of poor quality, they are hardly likely to pay money for anything else you’re offering.

It’s more important that the people you have on your mailing list are relevant to the product you are selling. For instance, you don’t want to be trying to sell a book on weaning babies to a pensioner – hardly like to make any sales there. So how to do go about building a list of people you KNOW are interested in your particular product?

Create and Opt In Page, Landing Page or Squeeze Page (they’re just different terms for the same thing).This is also known as the sales page. This is where you promote your product and ask the visitor to give you their contact details – their first name and email address is enough. Two ways you could do this:

a. Offer to give something away for free. Usually a free report – this can even be an article you’ve found on EzineArticles.com. Be sure that you include the author and source of the report, it’s not legal or moral to take someone else’s work and pass it off as your own. When your visitor knows that they will get something of value for free in exchange for their contact details they are more likely to comply.

Once they have opted-in you can then send them to a thank-you page where you ask them if they are interested in purchasing your product. This is where your big promotion is done. You’ve already given them something for free, now you want to know if they want to buy something. Even if they don’t this time, you have them on your mailing list so you can remind them of your product at a later date.

b. Sell your product, offer a free gift and ask for their contact details all at once. This is the preferred method for most online entrepreneurs. 6. Leveraging YouTube
Videos are easier for people to take in information they also increase SEO (search engine optimisation) with Google. Google owns YouTube so the link between the search engine and the YouTube website couldn’t be more efficient. It is a known fact that a link from YouTube to your website increases search engine optimisation which means that your site appears higher up in the Google search.

The kind of videos you upload to YouTube is entirely up to you. You could create a promo video for your product with PowerPoint presentation and a simple voice over. Or you could just set it to music (be sure the music is royalty-free or you could get sued).

Once a strong desire (step one) is in place and you are in the process of acquiring the necessary knowledge the final, and critical step is to take daily action with unwavering consistence and persistence. This consistence and persistence may require you to develop new habits – are you ready and willing? As you contemplate the foregoing ask yourself this question: are my habits today ,000,000 habits or ,000 habits.

For many people, achieving their desires, including wealth, will require a change. That change may be starting a new business.
